The promise. . . .

Life is so unpredictable People come, people go Is there anything that's for sure? We don't know, I don't know In a world that you don't believe in fairytales They don't come true, it's good to know In your time of need,  That you've got something to hold onto I don't know how you can keep people in your lives, or watch them go without stopping them.  You can't control that.  So just when you think things are for sure, that things are certain, they will suddenly show that they aren't. Why do we insist on fairytales?  Sometimes we can't believe everything that we read.  Instead, we need to figure out what we need to keep close to ourselves, or share openly with others if they are willing to accept or divulge. I found that love provides t he key Unlocks hearts and souls of you and me Love will learn to sing your song, yeah Love is written in the stone If love provides the key, where does love come from?  How do we go about learning to unlock our hearts and souls when we don't trust ourselves to know how to do that?  Being able to love yourself is the ultimate key, because only then will you be able to love others.  Those who crave your love, those who expect to reciprocate your love.  How will it learn your song?  We can never really know what is written in the stone unless we learn to understand that what is written and set in stone is something that we have come to know will form the basis for a blueprint for how we love ourselves and the world.
