Hmmmm
You see me moving all unneeded people out my life
And I'm trying to get these crazy thought out of my mind
Yeah, you gave me all the weapons but it's still a fight
So help me maintain
Help me maintain
Moving people out of your life can be tricky. Moving crazy thoughts out oyour head may be even trickier. Do you fight with yourself, fighting internally to do things that you kow you should be doing? Shouldn't be doing? hat weapons do you have at your disposal that you can use to fight against other people? To fight against those crazy thoughts? What if the weapons you need are to help you fight yourself? Your own inner demons that you carry around with you?
Yeah I don't wanna live in stress or fear
'Cause it's getting crazier everyday out here
All the love and peace You gave to me, I hold so dear
So help me maintain
Help me maintain
Stress and fear follow us around on a daily basis - but how much you choose to allow them the breathing time to take up space in your life - then that's on you. What are you able to do to relinquish some of the struggles that you are faced with? God's love and peace help keep me grounded. Granted I get distracted with other things that make me think I feel unloved or at war, but when I manage to push through and past all of the self doubt, ego and insecurities, I feel centred again. How often do you relapse into old habits? What do you do to help you maintain the things you want in life?
Cause soon as I walk out the door
I need You more and more
Hmmm
See I realised that sometimes I'm just not that smart
But I desperately just wanna be where You are
And compared to a while ago, I've gotten far
So help me maintain
Help me maintain
Hmmm
I know for a fact when I walk out the door that I need God more and more.
I come across situations and people who test me, stretch my understanding and hold me to the fire because I need to get burned in order to know it's hot. How far have you come in your journey? Are you where you thought you would be? What have you been able to maintain that you struggled to even begin let alone comprehend? We must remember how far we have come in order to know how far we have to go.
'Cause as soon as I walk out the door
I need You more and more
You know what's in store
I need You more and more
Hmmm
The best part of my day is keeping my faith in God to bring me through all the adverse challenges I face. There is a point of realisation, a point of clarity about trusting in God's plan and purpose for you based on the gifts, skills and talents that you have been blessed with to continue on the journey. Sometimes I laugh thinking, what if we knew what was in store for us? Would it motivate us to work harder, work better or smarter to change our trajectory?
I recognise this is a day that You have made
So I walk in love and put a smile on my face
But in case I run into someone on a different page
Help me maintain
Help me maintain
Start your day off with meditation and prayer, or... whatever works for you. Music is such a huge part of my life that I need to start each day with meditation and listening to gospel music and offering silent prayers during those sessions. Do you know how to walk in love? We might think we are on the same page as people but we aren't. We are on different pages and depending on how we are feeling, will need to figure out how to communicate and figure out how to put those smailes on our faces.
All my troubles God, help me maintain
All my peace, help me maintain
My sanity, help me maintain
My smile, help me maintain
My life, help me maintain
My heart, Lord God, help me maintain
Every part of me, help me maintain
Hmmm, help me maintain
I hope that you are able to put your troubles into perspective and think about how best to proceed forward. I hope that you are able to protect all of the parts about you that you need to build your best life. Remember to celebrate all of the cool things that you do in your life. Remember to take stock of the progress you have made - you cannot diminish that. I pray that God protects your heart like He is mine. I can always rely on God to help me maintain. . .
