Early in the morning
You wait for me to rise
Counting down the seconds
Until I open up my eyes
I hear Your invitation
You have been so patient
Lord this is my reply

Have you ever kept anybody waiting in anticipation as much as God is waiting for you? I think about times as a child when you would sit at a windowsill waiting excitedly for a loved one to come home. The first time I heard this song, it spoke volumes to me about how much patience God has. I've been told I am a pretty patient person. This idea of waiting on others, waiting for others always seems to have a negative connotation. Instead try a different tack and appreciate the wait. When you are asked questions, try to respond. When God calls you, what will you answer?

So Lord this is my reply

The demands of the world can drown out what you need to do for yourself, within yourself, outside of yourself. Hearing God speak into my life has come at the times when I have felt bereft and at my lowest point. The overwhelming sense of peace that can only come from truly letting go of anything, anyone, everything and everyone who does not cheer for you and the life you lead- can you truly imagine and believe that? I don't think I will ever find the peace I am seeking in this realm. Are we even meant to seek it? That kind of everlasting eternal peace doesn't seem to fit with the current state of the world. It's hard for me to not feel overwhelmed by it all - everything around me and the expectations that come with it.

You fill me with Your peace
Through the darkest valley
I know that You're with me
The beauty of Your presence
Fills me with assurance
That You are all I need

The time for self doubt has never been more prevalent than it has been now. It probably even isn't so much what others say about you and how they make you feel, but it has more to do with your ability to acknowledge who you are, accept yourself for who you and find ways to live your best life with the gifts, skills and talents you were blessed with. My greatest assurance in life has never been from this world. The hope, faith and belief that there has to be something better than what we are currently in, is all you need. The promise of a better tomorrow is close at hand. Will you be ready when it arrives?

I want to walk with You

Being lead by obligations and duties through one's entire life is not a complete life to lead. There will be times when we struggle to see what we are truly doing in this world and it is ok not to be ok. The love you seek will be found when you least expect it. I am encouraged by the beauty in things that one would normally not find beauty. I am encouraged by the lessons I am learning that continue to shape me, mould me, force me to grow and stretch beyond my wildest inclinations. 

I hope that wherever you are in your life, that you continue to hold hope. Hold space for yourself to know where you should be, in your state of being that is uninterrupted by the flow of the world and focus on the world you want to create from within yourself. 

I don't know. Life just seems easier, whether I know it or not, when I walk with You. . .

There's no more need to fight. . .  God provides, so why do I worry about my life When you come to my rescue a thousand times Every other voice it is a lie God provides It is easy to worry about your life.  It's what humans are built to do.
