No matter where I am, I'm standing in Your love. . .
I've walked among the shadows
You wiped my tears away
And I've felt the pain of heartbreak
And I've seen brighter days
And I've prayed prayers to heaven from my lowest place
And I have held the blessings
God, you give and you take away
It is difficult to believe that bad things happen in this world, but they do.
We can get distracted by not remembering how to be during those difficult times but when we come across heartbreak, and walk in shadows, it can be easy to sink into those dark spaces and never surface again. How many times have you visited those lowest places? If you become accustomed to walking in shadows, you soon become used to the cold and chill of those shadows and become immune to never feeling warmth in your steps again the longer you proceed. How much longer will you hold the blessings that you will soon take for granted? When we are given things, do we treat them nicely enough to know not to take it for granted? Do we know what to do with ourselves once it is taken away?
No matter what I have, your grace is enough
No matter where I am, I'm standing in Your love
On the mountains, I will bow my life
To the one who set me there
In the valley, I will lift my eyes to the one who sees me there
When I'm standing on the mountain I, didn't get there on my own
When I'm walking through the valley I know I am not alone!
You're the God of the hills and valleys
Hills and valleys
God of the hills and valleys
And I am not alone!
Who knows the definition of grace in one's life?
Who else displays the courteous good will that we rarely see in the eyes of those who look at us?
Whose good will do you value? You may be seeking validation and affirmation in all the wrong places. You might be choosing to seek power in places that are not meant for you. Do you know who loves you the most no matter where you stand? It should be of no consequence to you or them where you are, as long as they know when to be by your side. We forget to recognise people who put us in places that give us opportunity to do the best for everyone around us. We forget to acknowledge people who helped us sight unseen, reach places that we never would have reached on our own. When you are walking through that valley on your own, are you really alone?
I've watched my dreams get broken
In you I hope again!
No matter what I know
I'm safe inside Your Hands
How do you deal with your dreams when they become broken?
Do you become broken too?
No, you dream new dreams. You make those dreams stronger than the last ones you had.
You ensure that no matter what you go through in your life, that dreams never fade from your view.
We never lose hope when we lose our way. We never give up on ourselves when we lose our way.
We must refuse to allow ourselves to get lost again, to sacrifice what we must hold closest to us the most. It will be easier said than done, and this is where faith steps in. We never know how safe we are until we are truly tested to the limits of our faith and who will keep us in their hands, even when we lose faith in ourselves. Where do you feel the most safe? Keep yourself in the hands of those who keep you safe.
On the mountains, I will bow my life to the one who set me there
In the valley, I will lift my eyes to the one who sees me there
When I'm standing on the mountain I, didn't get there on my own
When I'm walking through the valley I know I am not alone!
You're the God of the hills and valleys
Hills and valleys
God of the hills and valleys
And I am not alone!
Who is your creator?
Everyone believes in someone or something that they acknowledge as their creation source.
How often do we take the time and energy to reconnect with that creation source during our day?
It may only take a few minutes to do this, use it as a time to reset if you will, because when the world is full of distractions that keep you away from where you are needed most - in the stillness of yourself - is it no wonder that you become immune to chaos and anarchy? What used to feel normal, is the old weird and we can now no longer make sense of the new normal - whatever that happens to be. No matter where you walk - up those hills, or down in those valleys, just have faith that you will not be walking in those spaces alone. There will always be someone who is prepared to follow you, lead you, walk beside you - wherever you need them to be the most - that is where they'll be.
Father you give and take away
Every joy and every pain
Through it all you remain
Over it all!
I hope that whatever situations you are facing in your life at the moment, that you learn to listen to the lessons that you are meant to hear. We may not have fully developed the listening skills required to hear these messages, but the first step is acknowledging that you need to start listening. Once you've acknowledged that, move to accept what needs to be done to atone for the reasons why you stopped listening and become one again with your creation source. You need to go back to the start and listen to what your divine mission is supposed to be in your life and never deter from that path again. Finally, think about what your next actions will be because if the choices you have are limited, you might want to consider how you step through what you have in front of you, deal with how the chips fall, pick up the challenges that are laid before you and slowly make your way through those valleys that unfold in front of you. How will you deal with that? What will you choose? And I will choose to say Blessed be Your name yeah yeah. . .
