Walk with you. . .

Early in the morning You wait for me to rise Counting down the seconds Until I open up my eyes I hear Your invitation You have been so patient Lord this is my reply Have you ever kept anybody waiting in anticipation as much as God is waiting for you? I think about times as a child when you would sit at a windowsill waiting excitedly for a loved one to come home. The first time I heard this song, it spoke volumes to me about how much patience God has. I've been told I am a pretty patient person. This idea of waiting on others, waiting for others always seems to have a negative connotation. Instead try a different tack and appreciate the wait. When you are asked questions, try to respond. When God calls you, what will you answer?  I want to walk with You And talk with You Hear You speaking Feel You breathing Walk with You And talk with You Hear You speaking Feel You breathing Walk with You And talk with You So Lord this is my reply The demands of the world can drown out what you need...

Break my soul. . .

I'm 'bout to explode, take off this load Bend it, bust it open, won't ya make it go? Yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka Yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka (release ya wiggle) Yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka Yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka (release ya wiggle) Ah - la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la We celebrated Matariki, the Māori New Year, for the first time as a nation in Aotearoa New Zealand with a public holiday. It is a time of reflection and recognising past achievements, where you are in the present and where you hope to be in the future. All of the dead weight from the previous year, should be let go. Where do you find yourself today? Are you truly reflecting on yourself and how you can contribute to the lives of others? Being a constellation means you have a place in the night sky, you are recognisable in the heavens and humans will want to search for you and find reassurance...

Be kind. . .

It don't bother me if you're old or young If you got lots of money or you got next to none Or where you think we all go when we die It ain't on my mind if you're big or small How long it takes you to get up when you fall Or if you can or cannot handle the spice We will make connections or disconnections in our life. These connections and disconnections will change over time as and when situations arise, as and when people fall away from your life or not. How do you see yourself? Are you old or young? Do you have lots of money or next to none? What do we really know about ourselves and others around us. How can we escape the burden of judging other? How can we continue to move on, pushing through what we need to do, by judging others instead of being kind? Each time you fall, it is natural instinct to pick yourself back up and dust yourself off. How can we learn to handle spicy situations? In a world where you can be anything I'll be kind to you Could be kind to me...

Look for the good. . .

Look for the good in everything Look for the people who will set your soul free It always seems impossible until it's done Look for the good in everyone Are you struggling to see the good in everything? You might have spent a bit of time in autopilot mode, going through the motions until you figured out how to turn off those settings in cruise mode. I don't even think you were in cruise mode. You were just in some type of mode that even you didn't realise you were in. Who are the people who will help to set your soul free? If you are surrounded by people who are trying to trap your soul, trying to own your soul, try hard to look for the good. It's hard. But that's because it requires us to search for the good within ourselves too. What can you find? People done gone crazy, people done gone mad People done forgot the superpowers we all have We were born to love, not hate, we can decide our fate And look for the good in everyone and celebrate all our mistakes If there...

Heavy. . .

When it feels like I can barely breathe Hardest question inside of me Wby are you put down, O my soul? Don't you know that God is in control? When I feel I'm at capacity And it's hard to tell others what's happening, oh Why do I feel so afraid? When I know that God can make a way? Lord please take over Have you been finding it hard to breathe lately? You may find yourself trapped in situations with people or places that you did not find yourself being in. You may explain it away as it being - it is what it is. But what really is it? Why do you find it hard to tell others what is happening with you? Maybe you need to figure out it for yourself before you can articulate it to others. Do you know what your capacity is? Sometimes we forget that part of the capacity that we hold, also needs to take into account some space for ourselves to hold, so that we allow some healing space when we need it. Who else and where else will you be able to recuperate? Never let fear of the u...

The Lord ain't let me down lately. . .

It's been a long time that I've been feeling feelings But the tricky kind that I just can't shake It's no good chasing down the meanings When every sign points a different way Trying to make sense of feelings and being aware of your emotional intelligence can be tricky. What feelings are you finding hard to shake right now? We can too often rush to try and make sense of things, fix things or try to help when we don't need to - instead we should be sitting back and listening to what people require from us, and negotiate what we are willing to share. Where are all of the different meanings taking you? Are you prepared for the different ways in which you find yourself moving? Trust yourself to know how you will be - those different permutations are a testament to the growth you are doing that may seem completely foreign or alien to others. Just a little bit faster Just a little more slow You already passed it Just a little ways to go Now with a little more feeling An...

About damn time. . .

It's bad bitch o'clock yeah it's thick-thirty I've been through a lot but I'm still flirty (okay) Is everybody back up in the buildin'? It's been a minute, tell me how you're healin' 'Cause I'm about to get in my feelings How you feelin'? How you feel right now? Sometimes you need to reset by taking some time out and just stepping out of the limelight. You can only really come into your own once you realise how much healing of yourself you need to go through in order to be better for others. Are you an active participant in healing others? Or are you someone toxic who actively seeks out to wreak havoc in the lives of others for your own entertainment? Learning to recognise toxic environments, toxic culture and toxic relationships can take some navigating. Learning how to check this with everybody else around you so you are on the same page, takes time, effort and energy.  Oh, I been so down and under pressure I'm way too fine to be th...

Sailing. . .

It's not far down to paradise At least it's not for me And if the wind is right you can sail away And find tranquility Oh the canvas can do miracles Just you wait and see Believe me I first blogged about this song when my sister in law passed away in Samoa, At the time, it was a year after my own husband passed away and I was immediately thrust into another bereavement that was too close to home. Do you know how far you are to paradise? What conditions need to be in play in order for the wind to be right? We wait for the wind to change direction or to pick up our sails to carry us away. Where will you find tranquility? Can you control the direction in which the wind takes you? Do you have the skills to navigate and traverse the ocean you are in? Believing in yourself can be hard when you've been knocked back so many times. Sometimes it's hard to believe when others believe in you. It's not too far to never never  land No reason to pretend And if the wind is right ...

Hold us together (Hope Mix). . .

I will trust in You  and know that You are with me Forever I'll confide in You, ' cause You're the only answer t hat matters There might be very few people that you can actually trust as much as you trust in a higher power. How can you rely on someone to be there fully for you when you are in your hour of need? That's the thing with trust and being able to confide in someone - having that peace of mind that you will be protected and nurtured when the situation requires. We will often need to block out the noise that threatens to consume us, overwhelm us, try to confuse us. When you can block out the noise and focus very carefully on the stillness that you need, answers will be revealed to you that you can begin to trust and know that it comes individually wrapped for you. Even in the darkness You will be my light Even when I'm hopeless You will be my guide I will not be shaken, I will not be moved Even in the chaos, I know that You're good To be in darkness can ...

Woman like me. . .

You're driving me away, give e a reason to stay I want to be lost in you but not in this way Don't think you quite understand who you have on your hands How can you not see just how good for you I am? Why would you stay if you don't feel it is the right thing to do? We tend to drive others away when we go through situations that require clarity of thought, personal space to deal with issues that need not concern the judgmental gaze of others. Why do we allow ourselves to be misunderstood when we should be able to speak freely and loudly? Why should anybody believe that you are a viable choice for any significant position in their life? I know that you've been hurt before, that's why you feel so insecure I begged you to let me in, 'cause I only want to be the cure If you don't choose to grow, we ain't ever gonna know Just how good this could be I really hoped that this would go somewhere We cannot hope to change people's inner perception of themselves...

Broken and beautiful. . .

I never held my hand out and asked for something free I got pride I could roll out for miles in front of me I don't need your help, and I don't need sympathy I don't need you to lower the bar for me Are you the type of person who never really asks for help? How do people know when you are broken? 2021 was a pretty rough year. You could be forgiven for mistaking 2020 as a traumatic year with the global pandemic that has never been out of the news cycle since it arrived but, here we are. I've been sitting on this blog post for a while (15 days to be exact) as I have been trying to navigate my way through some challenges. What does 2022 hold for you? More people trying to lower the bar for you? I know I'm Superwoman, I know I'm strong I know I've got this 'cause I've had it all along I'm phenomenal and I'm enough I don't need you to tell me who to be Everyone is entitled to an opinion - on any topic, on anybody, on any given day. Have you fo...
